Do you enjoy natural wonders? Then let yourself be tempted by the Wolf Pit and Ice Pit, both easily reachable via a short walk along the educational trail from the Blatenský vrch lookout tower – which, by the way, is also worth a visit. The Wolf Pit is 25 meters deep and remains from the former Wolfgang mine, a treat especially for those unafraid of heights. The Ice Pit, a collapsed former tin mine, got its name from the ice that used to stay visible there year-round until 2017. The view into both pits is truly impressive and will fascinate children and adults alike.
