This 8-kilometre educational trail starts at St. Joachim’s Church and shows what political prisoners went through in Jáchymov in the 1950s. It takes you to Adit No. 1, now a mining museum, and to the Svornost mine, where silver and uranium were once extracted. The same water that is now used for healing in Jáchymov’s spa springs still comes from here. During the tour of the so-called Twelfth Level, located about 500 metres underground, you can even see the springs. The trail also passes the ruins of Šlik Castle, which offer a beautiful view of Jáchymov and the surrounding landscape.
