The 910‑metre Mědník mountain is riddled with mining tunnels left from iron ore extraction. Two of them — Marie Pomocná and Země zaslíbené — can be visited today. From the top, you’ll enjoy a stunning panoramic view of Velký Špičák, the Přísečnice reservoir, the Ohře valley, the Doupovské Mountains, Meluzína, Klínovec, Fichtelberg and more.
Below the mountain, in the switchbacks toward Klášterec nad Ohří, you’ll also find a rock formation resembling Egyptian sphinxes — a perfect photo spot.
